MSI Selected by DC Invents for Production of New Product

Manufacturing Solutions Inc. (MSI) has announced their firm has been tapped to produce DC Invents’ Quickeeze Sleeve Strap product. DC Invents, based in Hardwick, VT, has created a new product that makes work easier, faster, and safer.

MSI provides comprehensive services up and down the supply chain and will provide DC Invents with assembly, quality control, and unit-packing.

DC Invents owners, Dylan Morrill and Cody Hopkins, recently invented an improved version of a traditional strap system that holds electrical line workers’ rubber safety sleeves on securely. The existing system was thick, uncomfortable, and included screw-on buttons that would eventually strip and loosen over time, and in many cases fall off. Filling a void in the market, the Quickeeze Sleeve Strap is more comfortable and easier to use. The rapid adoption of the new product has produced significant market demand, resulting in an inventory shortage situation. Utilizing MSI as a contract manufacturing partner will provide DC Invents with the added resources necessary to further grow their business and profit margin.

“We were making the straps by hand on a home sewing machine at our dining room table and selling them,” DC Invents co-owner, Cody Hopkins, shared. “But we eventually reached out a point where we were unable to keep up, so we turned to MSI for assistance.”

“Their team’s focus on quality aligned with that of our mission, which has made for an ideal partnership,” said Dylan Morrill, co-owner, DC Invents.

MSI’s production of the new Quickeeze Sleeve Strap began in early July 2017, creating an immediate additional position at MSI. With MSI’s assistance, DC Invents is anticipating reaching inventory on-hand by the end of summer.

“DC Invents is a great example of a company experiencing positive growth pains where MSI is able to not only serve as an extension to their business, but also a solution to their immediate operational challenge,” said Keith Koehler, Business Development Manager, MSI. “It’s a great story of Vermont ingenuity.”
