Step One: Are You Ready to Partner?

Whether you’re an established manufacturer or an emerging business, having the following information ready ensures faster quoting and onboarding. We specialize in helping customers align their product development with realistic manufacturing and 3PL execution plans.

Established Manufacturers:

  • Drawings (with redlines, if applicable)
  • Sample product (when possible)
  • Target start & delivery dates
  • Expected volumes (initial and ongoing)
  • Special requirements (certifications, risk factors, rush dates, etc.)
  • Willingness to meet and collaborate on project details

For Startups or Product Launches:

  • Legal business entity (LLC, Corp, etc.)
  • Budget, funding, and business plan
  • Prototype or product sample
  • Defined bill of materials (BOM)
  • Specified tooling, components, and packaging
  • Market strategy and eCommerce readiness
  • Product liability insurance
  • Distribution and supply chain strategy

Step Two: Plan Ahead for Production Success

Good manufacturing takes good planning.
MSI’s onboarding typically requires 3+ weeks after contract signing to prepare space, train staff, develop quality processes, and create work instructions. Our goal is to ensure every unit that leaves our floor meets your expectations.

Step Three: Onboarding Documents

Once your project scope is defined and pricing agreed upon, the onboarding phase begins. The following must be completed before production starts:

  • Customer Profile Form – Company and billing details
  • Credit Application – Used to assess terms and payment structure
  • Personal Guarantee (if applicable) – For privately held companies
  • Signed Scope of Work (SOW) – Defines terms, pricing, production details, and delivery expectations

Once the paperwork is complete—we’re ready to get to work.
