Garret Hirchak, President / CEO and Owner
Education: Peoples Academy in Morrisville Vermont, Thomas Hirchak Co., Concept 2, and all the smart people I have worked with over the years.

Work history: I worked in my family’s auction business, the Thomas Hirchak Company during my school years. We conducted a variety of auctions in an ongoing way with my core responsibilities being setting up the auctions and “running” on the day of sale. Additionally we had a tent, chair and table rental business which involved setting up the party tents and delivering tables and chairs as requested. After graduating from high school in 1987 I worked for a year as a “carpenter”. In late 1988 I was hired by Concept 2 as a member of their production team. In 1993 I moved from production to a role in quality control. Early in 1996 I saw an opportunity to support Concept 2’s growth from a subcontractor’s perspective. I introduced the idea to the C2 founders and established the first customer for MSI. August 1996 I resigned from C2 to start MSI and here I am today.

For fun: I like to stay physically fit and do interesting things with my family. Plus I like my job.
Bethany Salvas, Vice President and Co-owner
Education: High School, Peoples Academy, Morrisville, Vermont College, University of Vermont, completed 3 semesters in Medical Technology

Work history: After leaving UVM, I held various customer service positions in hotels in Vermont and Arizona. After 5 years at the Stoweflake Resort in Stowe as the Conference Services Manager, I finished my hotel career. In July of 1990, I became a member of the customer service team at Concept2 and remained there until June, 2003. I left Concept2 in June, 2003 to spend more time with our family. In June, 2005 I returned to work part time at MSI to become a leading member of the Health and Wellness Team.

For fun: I enjoy staying physically fit with my family and friends – running, hiking, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. I also enjoy volunteering at our local schools, coaching soccer, and being the secretary for the Morrisville Soccer Club Board.
Jesse Carpenter, C2 Production, Test Rower, Boxer, Trainer
"I am less than six months away from my fifth year at MSI. When I started I did a lot of sub assemblies but as I got in tune with the system and the quality of the rowing machine, my responsibilities grew. Over my four and a half years, I have learned to build the machine from start to finish as well as test rowing and boxing for the customer. I look forward to working many years with MSI and having great conversations with my coworkers, management and owners as well."
Logan Haskins, Inventory Manager
"I think I have good skills with the customers because I act fast and get the job done before or when it needs to be done, and communicate well."
Jamie Albright, Line Manager SkiErg
"I like our customers. Recently, I’ve taken on a bigger project within the company. I’m managing production of a new product for one of our existing customers. I’m proud to be able to move up quickly from working hard. My co-workers and the customer trust the work I put out. This makes me feel good about myself which makes me work even harder."
